Nestled among beautiful live oak trees in Rockport, Sandy Oaks is a shaded, breezy retreat designed with your pet’s happiness and comfort in mind. We've transformed our property into a true haven for dogs—a place where tails wag freely and every day feels like a vacation.

We know your pets are family. When you can’t be home—whether you're at work, traveling, or just need a break—you want them cared for with the same love and attention you give them. That’s exactly what we offer at Sandy Oaks Kennel and Daycare.

All boarding kennels are fully climate-controlled, ensuring your pet stays comfortable year-round. Our grounds feature 30 secure, leash-free play areas—from cozy individual yards to spacious group play areas, including a large adventure zone with a fresh-water swim pond (see our Swim & Adventure Package).

Whether it’s for the day or an extended stay, your pet will enjoy room to run, splash, socialize, and relax—all under the attentive care of our experienced team.

Vaccination Requirements

For the safety of all our guests, all dogs must be up to date on the following core vaccinations before using any of our services:

Rabies
DHLPP (Distemper / Parvovirus)
Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

We require official vaccination records from a licensed veterinarian prior to your pet’s stay. Pets will not be allowed to participate in boarding or daycare without proof of current vaccinations.

Accommodations

Feeding & Food

To keep your dog happy and healthy during their stay, we recommend bringing their regular food to maintain consistency in their diet.

Food & Water Bowls

We provide all standard food bowls and water buckets.
If your dog requires a special bowl (e.g. slow feeder or raised bowl), you may bring theirs from home.

Bringing Your Own Food

Please pack your dog’s food in a sealed container or bag, clearly labeled with their name and detailed feeding instructions.
There is no extra charge for feeding your pet’s own food.

Feeding Our Food

If you prefer to use our premium dry dog food, a fee of $3 per feeding will apply.

Separate Feeding Arrangements

If dogs from the same household are boarding together but require separate kennels during feeding, there is an additional charge of $5 per week.

Bedding

We provide clean, comfortable bedding for all our guests to ensure a cozy stay. To keep our facility tidy and safe, we kindly ask that you do not bring any bulky bedding or large blankets from home.

If your pet has a small comfort item or blanket they’re attached to, feel free to check with our staff and make sure their name marked clearly.

Medications

Our experienced staff is trained to safely administer medications to your pet during their stay.

Please bring all medications in their original containers, clearly labeled with your pet’s name and detailed dosage instructions. Be sure to inform our staff of any special requirements at check-in.

Medication Fee

$1 per medication, per day
(Example: If your dog takes 1 medication twice a day, the charge would be $2 per day.)

Treats & Snacks

We love treating our guests! If your dog has any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know at check-in so we can accommodate their needs.

You're welcome to bring your own treats, but please do not bring rawhide bones or treats with knotted ends, as they pose a choking hazard and will not be given to your dog. Most other treats are welcome and appreciated!
